Viet Tastes | Our Story
A culinary journey through Vietnam, in Lowell
Viet Tastes is a Vietnamese restaurant in Lowell, Massachusetts, built around slow-simmered noodle soups, communal hot pots, and hand-rolled grills. Everything on the menu is made with care — and most of it is made from scratch.
Made by hand, from scratch
The crispy roasted pork belly in our bánh mì, the fish cake in bánh canh, and the fish patty in bánh mì cá chiên are all made entirely in-house. Signature seasonings — a chef's fish sauce glaze, a house pepper-and-salt blend — run through the whole menu.
Vietnam has many kitchens
The menu travels the length of Vietnam: spicy, lemongrass-forward bún bò Huế, the tomato-and-crab richness of bún riêu, the fermented depth of bún mắm, and Nam Vang–style noodle soup. Each dish carries its regional roots intact.
Some meals are meant to be shared
Self-roll trays of bò nướng lá lốt (grilled betel leaf beef) and chả nướng (grilled pork patty) are built for the whole table to work together. Hot pots — goat in herbal broth, Thai-style seafood with kaffir lime and lemongrass — take that spirit further.
A welcoming room in Lowell
Red booths, granite-topped tables, and built-in induction cooktops for hot pot service. A bright, unhurried room built for people who want to eat well and linger.
